MY TOP  7  SLIM DOWN TRIED & TRUE- TIPS!!!


1. Drink A GALLON of Water (YES YOU CAN...take it slow)

You know water is insanely important. When you want to lose weight THIS IS THE FIRST PLACE TO START GAINING FOCUS. The conversion of fat into energy takes place in your liver, and this process requires that you be well hydrated.

Drinking a gallon of water over the course of your day is a goal to aim for. This goal is easily met when you get into the habit of sipping water throughout the day, drinking a full glass before meals, & WHEN YOU FIRST GET UP! (that is a favorite CANdi tip!!)


2. Cut out Alcohol (again, YOU CAN DO THIS!!! NO WHINING!!! and if you can not, we need to have a different conversation. hugs)

Despite being your least favorite of the tips I am laying out today,  it remains one of the most effective. First, cutting out alcohol causes fat loss as it is empty calories!!! These are simple sugars that taste great but add up quickly as stored fat in all the wrong places. (and only feel good short term)

The second reason to avoid alcohol is that the simple energy that your body derives from the alcohol will be used as energy long before your fat stores are tapped, making it impossible to reduce body fat on days when alcohol is consumed. That some incentive  to put down your glass and reach for some water.


3. Do a Variety of Cardio

Changing it up will make all the difference. Getting in calorie-burning activities is crucial to quickly eliminating fat stores. Its been proven (scientifically and in our studio) that long steady cardio is not the way.


Pick an Aerobic activity are enjoyable! Hiking, biking, swimming, surfing, jogging, brisk walking (Cardio HIITboxing at iCANdi is actually super fun and SERIOUSLY ALL LEVEL even if you can not get on the floor – any activity that requires you to move your body - though take breaks in between to get the true magic in the RESULTS!


4. Cut out Processed Junk

This is one of the quickest and easiest ways to SAVE MONEY and lose body fat and still you don't do it. Is it really that tough to say goodbye forever to those processed snacks?

This is one obstacle that prevents most people from achieving the body that they want.

The best tip for successfully getting processed junk food out of your life is to look for better alteratives. One step at a time. Google to see if there is a smilar option with out refined sugar and gluten. 

If you think you may be addicted, start with a smaller portion of that go to snack and add a piece of fruit. When your belly is full of wholesome snacks, it’s hard to care too much about the processed junk you missed out on. I swear, natural things will start tasting way sweeter when you start cutting out the HIGH SUGAR foods you are currently eating...READ THE LABEL. And soon you’ll learn to love how lean and energetic these healthier foods make you feel.


5. Strength Train

So many people are still scared or do not know where to start with this seriously important way to A TONED BODY NOT JUST WEIGHT LOSS> (CANdis who have lost 50 plus lb don't have a lot of hanging skin because they go slow and steady AND STRENGTH TRAINING)  The act of lifting weights causes those targeted muscles to stimulate new muscle tissue growth which means the muscle tissue becomes leaner and sculpted. PLUS THIS MEANS BETTER METABOLISM. So you will drop the weight easier!!


6. MOVE MORE

Sitting for more than a hour will put your body in conservation mode and frick your metabolism. (conservation mode means your body stops burning). Many watches now have a cool alarm to remind you to get up every hour.

Getting up and moving around, even walking or cleaning the house the same day as a workout, you will burn double!!!!

Our bodies are made to move, the more you move, the faster AND easier this journey will be!!!!!

Start small with 5 min, then increase....and increase


7. GET HELP!!!!

Your hair comes out so much better when you hire a professional to cut it... car breaks down?? you take it for repairs. When your pet isn't feeling well, you call the vet.... When you need to lose weight…you try to do it on your own? Ummmm, how is that working???

PUMPKIN PROTEIN COOKIES

 these cookies are sooooo $%&*@ GOOD!!!

Here’s a cookie that will satisfy your need for pumpkin spice this season, all without the sugar and carbs of traditional cookies! Be sure to use Vanilla Muscle CANdi Protein Powder for the best results. Make a bunch and store leftovers in the freezer.

Servings: 30 cookies


What you need:
1 cup ghee (clarified butter)
1 cup brown sugar SWERVE
1/2 cup granular sugar SWERVE
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup pumpkin puree
3 scoops
vanilla MUSCLE CANDI protein powder
1 c nut flour
1 1/3 c old fashion oats
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
½ teaspoon sea salt
½ cup chopped pecans
1 cup white lily’s chips


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line 2 large rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

2. In a large mixing bowl mix the butter, brown and granular swerve together. Add the eggs, vanilla extract and pumpkin puree and mix until fully combined.

3. Mix in the protein powder, almond flour, rolled oats, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, and sea salt until fully combined.

4. Stir in the pecans and white chocolate chips.

5. Use an ice cream scoop to drop cookie dough 30 cookies and bake for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven.





BONUS TIP!!!!


If your heading to the coffee shop at the dame time, you may be able to start guessing peoples orders: There’s the kid who looks too young for coffee with her pumpkin latte with whip, the well dressed lady with her black coffee and the guy who maybe should have not even gotten up... with his frappuccino.


Same order every single day. NOW EVEN IF YOUR DO NOT GO TO A COFFEE SHOPPE...I have a point. lol
